Local winners in the Windansea Surf Club Menehune surf contest Oct. 2 at La Jolla Shores, included Lars Willging of Encinitas taking first in the Boys 7 to 9 category, and Owen Rowe of Encinitas topping the Boys 10 to 11 Shortboard. The contest is for boys and girls 17 years of age and younger.
